As you probably all know, I have been doing the Day Zero Project as a way for me to complete goals and challenge myself in many ways possible.
After 5 months or so of not updating it, I thought I would make one post to say that I have! I usually make a post about the ones that I have completed but this time I’m going to tell everybody to find them for yourself and see how many I have completed. I have about 18 months to go to complete the rest of them :-).
I would encourage everybody to do the Day Zero Project!
So, I am feeling very motivated now – especially after the video I posted in the last blog. For a long time now I’ve needed to motivate myself to keep moving and to keep focused, and I’ll be honest when I say I haven’t been very motivated lately.
I’m now more motivated to study, more motivated to dance and more motivated to achieving my goals and achieving a more healthier lifestyle.
There are a few things that I need to do, that, from many times researching, I think will benefit everyone!! Here’s a few of them:
1. Get Support!!:
You’re not going to feel motivated to achieve your goal, when no one else is going to help motivate you. Tell your best friends, and those you can trust, what your plans are and what you hope to achieve! They could either motivate you by doing those things with you, or by giving you words of advice. Any way that you think they can help you, tell them and they shouldn’t have any problems with helping you.
2. Write out plans:
I don’t like writing much when it comes to making plans or tables and such, but I am going to start doing this to keep me focused. Start writing out daily what you hope to achieve at the end of the day.
Also, don’t write out EVERYTHING that you want to achieve at the one time; it is obvious that we have long term goals and short term goals. Keep these daily lists small so they feel easier to achieve, and you can focus more on them. For the long term, it could be what you hope to see yourself doing in x number of years, the short term will be the steps taken to acquire them.
Example:Â You want to study better/harder for your exam (LONG TERM). You would write out daily what SPECIFIC topics you are going to study, “Today I’m only going to study a few questions about ______ for x number of minutes/hours” (SHORT TERM).
So say you only write two things on your list for today, and you achieve them, you would write another two things on tomorrow’s list so you’re not overwhelmed by how much needs to be done!
3. Listen to motivating music
Everyone’s music taste is different from the next person, so it’s not a question about what genre you have to listen to. Don’t let the music become overpowering to the extent where you’re just listening to the music and not studying/achieving. Having said that, have the music in the background (at a low volume) so you still feel in that awesome mood!!
4. Believe, Believe, BELIEVE!!
Whatever method of believing you wish to use (Law of Attraction, Conscious Living etc) then use it! If you imagine yourself having succeeded in achieving your goals, this will help you FEEL GREAT and will help you stay on track (whether that’s passing your exam, or becoming a hairdresser etc).
It’s important to have belief in yourself succeeding, what’s the point in this if you don’t believe? What you think is what you manifest, fact! And by believing in yourself, you will have much greater faith in yourself completing these tasks.
You know the quote “I think, therefore I am”? Whatever it is that you are thinking in your head, somehow that will manifest and transform you. Basically, if you think negatively about ANYTHING you will manifest negativity into your life and mind.
Keep believing, and good luck!
This is a track that motivates me, it’s Be Alright (Nicolay EasyBreeze Remix) by The Foreign Exchange. I’ll be writing about The Foreign Exchange soon.
