Inside ChazB

Hey guys!

I must express my apologies for not updating this blog. Life has taken me on some incredible, and stressful, journeys and the blog was out of my thoughts for a long time. From travelling to film different events, to taking 9 months out of my year to write my university thesis. From leaving Strife.tv to being funded to travel the USA to learn about Hip Hop. So many things have happened since my last post here.

During my time away from this blog I’ve been thinking of better ways to promote myself and to promote my work/lifestyle. The idea of a blog was definitely at the top of my list. Unfortunately, this blog is not the answer. I have over-saturated this blog with many useless things which have, perhaps, resulted in its inactivity. To promote myself as a professional to people, this is the kind of activity that should be avoided. Quality over quantity. It’s the ethos which drives my work and my creative enterprises.

Therefore, I am sad to announce that this is my last post. At least on this blog anyway. I shall keep all my previous posts online for others to see. However, there will be no more updates to this blog. I have many followers, and I am sorry to disappoint them about this.

In terms of professionalism, I do have a new blog! I will be using this one more to document my life and work. You can visit it here: http://chazbonnarblog.wordpress.com

Thank you to everybody who has taken an interest in my posts! In one form or another, I hope my stories and shares have been fascinating or insightful. There may be some things here which I can transfer to the new blog. Only because they may be topics I wish to speak about again.

To keep in touch with my life you can follow me on Twitter @ChazB and follow the new blog. The content will be of higher quality. That I can assure you of.

Until next time!
Chaz Bonnar

There is something quite mystical and emotive about this YouTube channel; there’s a lot of music that can help sooth and relax you. It’s also a good channel to discover new artists that you won’t have heard of. Since this is my favourite YouTube channel for music, I thought I would share it with everybody.

Enjoy! And if you have any YouTube channels for me to check out, please comment πŸ™‚

p.s. follow me on Twitter @ChazB

As you probably all know, I have been doing the Day Zero Project as a way for me to complete goals and challenge myself in many ways possible.

After 5 months or so of not updating it, I thought I would make one post to say that I have! I usually make a post about the ones that I have completed but this time I’m going to tell everybody to find them for yourself and see how many I have completed. I have about 18 months to go to complete the rest of them :-).

I would encourage everybody to do the Day Zero Project!

This is just a really short post to say I’m on twitter! I recently got signed up yesterday and only really did it so I can boost my range of clients and reach more networks. But I thought I’d let you all know so you can add me and get to know me a bit more :-).Β

You can follow me @ChazB – I’m really proud I managed to get that name. Now I seem like the official ChazB of the internet world LOL!Β

Happy following πŸ™‚

Wow!! I can’t believe I’ve been away from here for such a long time! I apologise to everybody who was expecting something consistent from me from my last post. Although, I do admit, my posts back then were more about the achievements I had made and not really an insight into my life.Β

So let me tell you guys what I’ve been up to during my time away:Β

I’ve just finished my 3rd year of University, passed all of my coursework so I can do my final year, and I have been starting to travel a lot more with my filming and dancing! I have been to Belgium twice, London twice, and Spain over the last 5 months filming what I love most.Β

My plans for the rest of the year is to develop myself as a dancer and videographer and try and build as many connections as I can. The next few posts will be of some work of mine – Β that I hope everybody will like!Β

But please tell me if there is a post that you’d like to see from me! πŸ™‚

After not seeing my Life List for about 1 month, I come back to find that I’ve completed some tasks!

The ones that I’ve completed are:

28. Invest in a camera over Β£1000

For about 4 months I was saving up money to get a Sony NEX-VG20. It was a camcorder that I’d had my eye on for so long, and I knew that if I spent about Β£100 a month but saved the rest of my money then I’d get it. The camera – nowadays – is valued at about Β£1300. I’m really happy that I have it because it will boost the quality of my work, and hopefully more jobs will come of it too!

33. Film a short documentary

After I made my post about going to Just Jam International (you can find it on my page somewhere) I made a short documentary video about what goes down at the event and what everybody thinks of it. It had a great response from people everywhere and even from the organisers. Now that I’ve got the new camera I think I’ll start filming more of these.

What a good start to the year! πŸ™‚

Welcome to 2013! I hope everybody had a great Christmas and a great New Years party – or any equivalent.

This is always a time of year where we reflect on the year that came before and if we feel it was a success or not. Everybody does it, I do it too, there’s nothing wrong with reflecting back.

At this time people will start to think how they could make their life better and they’ll want to achieve goals for the end of that year. That’s your Resolutions. Everybody has resolutions that they want to achieve.

What is unfortunate, especially at this time of year, is when people give up on their goals because they feel it’s taking a long time or get into another habit that stops them from completing their goal or for many other reasons. It’s important to understand that not all goals can be achieved overnight and they take a lot of dedication and time!

Take each task one at a time, don’t be too worried about trying to complete everything at the one time. Enjoy the experience of changing your life!

I don’t have that many new resolutions, but the rest of them are on my Life List.

Hope 2013 is very prosperous for you! πŸ™‚

I’d like to think I’m very open to the idea of a lot of things happening in the world; astral projections, life outside of Earth, you know all that sort of stuff. But one thing that is popular right now is that the world is going to end on Friday.

The story that’s been told is that the Mayans (a race of people from Mexico) made a calendar of life. It’s a 5,125 year old calendar, and apparently it’s time is up.

There’s other stories too, not just involving the Mayans, but it kind of goes back to how you believe civilisation evolved to begin with. There’s Evolution, there’s God carving Adam from mud, but there’s other stories too. I don’t want to offend anybody with this next one, but I’m saying it anyway.

It’s been said that when the Egyptians were building the Pyramids of Giza they had help from others that weren’t of this world. This has been reason to some of the pyramid’s attributes – such as there isn’t enough space from one block to another that’s bigger than the width of a credit card and how precise some other things have been carved within the pyramid. Although, having said that, many believe there’s something “special” lying within one of the pyramids that someone (of a different entity than humans) will come back and use on Friday.

There’s a lot of stories, and I’m not going to say what one I believe or if I believe the world will end. But if the world does end, at least I’ve accomplished something:

I found the song of a break that I’ve been looking for since I started dancing! πŸ˜€ I’m so pleased, and I’m going to share it.

If the world does end, it’s been a pleasure writing here and apologies for not writing more often.

For the last time (hopefully not), have a good one! πŸ™‚

I’ve heard this song for the longest of time – about time it gets a spot on the blog! Don’t know what it is about the song but it can always get me into a more sensual mood. I’ll admit, I’m kinda pissed off with today but music is helping me feel better about myself. We off that, this song is gold!

Here’s “Love Scene” by Joe.

Have a good one.
