As you probably all know, I have been doing the Day Zero Project as a way for me to complete goals and challenge myself in many ways possible.

After 5 months or so of not updating it, I thought I would make one post to say that I have! I usually make a post about the ones that I have completed but this time I’m going to tell everybody to find them for yourself and see how many I have completed. I have about 18 months to go to complete the rest of them :-).

I would encourage everybody to do the Day Zero Project!

After not seeing my Life List for about 1 month, I come back to find that I’ve completed some tasks!

The ones that I’ve completed are:

28. Invest in a camera over £1000

For about 4 months I was saving up money to get a Sony NEX-VG20. It was a camcorder that I’d had my eye on for so long, and I knew that if I spent about £100 a month but saved the rest of my money then I’d get it. The camera – nowadays – is valued at about £1300. I’m really happy that I have it because it will boost the quality of my work, and hopefully more jobs will come of it too!

33. Film a short documentary

After I made my post about going to Just Jam International (you can find it on my page somewhere) I made a short documentary video about what goes down at the event and what everybody thinks of it. It had a great response from people everywhere and even from the organisers. Now that I’ve got the new camera I think I’ll start filming more of these.

What a good start to the year! 🙂

I was looking through my Life List when I realised there was something I could complete right now!

Number 71: Make a list of 25 things I like about myself.

This is me trying to be as humble and as modest I can be here. Apologies for any bragging I do, in advance.

  1. My desire to wear clothing that is not mainstream to where I live.
  2. My dedication to finding new music from all realms of the internet/world.
  3. How I pride myself in that the clothing I wear is unique.
  4. My openness to other cultures and ideas.
  5. The fact that I am easy to amuse, and love a great laugh at any time of the day.
  6. I seek to find knowledge about things that are close to my heart.
  7. I am able to express myself through dance.
  8. That I can dance.
  9. My friends have been chosen from many years of figuring who my friends really are.
  10. My attitude to embarrassing myself if it results in a great night.
  11. How I am always in check of my attitude and how I come across to people.
  12. My music taste is different from all my friends. I pride myself on that.
  13. I am a part of a worldwide movement in Dance. Not just the dancing itself, but documenting dance and culture especially.
  14. It’s easy for me to get along with people.
  15. My sense of humour is very extensive! The most simple of jokes amuse me, and no joke offends me.
  16. I try to make myself as unique as I can be. Why be like everyone else when you can be yourself?
  17. When I want to lose weight, I do and I look/feel better for it!
  18. My willingness to succeed in my education.
  19. I love to travel, and to experience different lifestyles and see different places.
  20. My acceptance and openness to other people regardless of skin/disability.
  21. My constant journey to find creative ideas for the projects I do (dance and video)
  22. The fact I pride myself in the effort I put in to look good for a special occasion.
  23. I appear more manly to others, because of my facial hair and chest hair.
  24. I may have a stutter, but I speak more eloquently and with more confidence than most others do.
  25. I’m musically minded.

There we go! Another challenge completed 🙂

I finally completed my first task, out of 101 I need to complete.

I completed number 94 – stop biting my nails for 2 weeks!!

I sort of lost count and realised that I hadn’t bitten my nails in over 2 weeks, thank god I finally completed a task.

That’s £5 stored away!

You can find the rest of the tasks I need to complete in my “Life List” page.

So I’ve decided to do some sort of miniature bucket-list, and it’s by the Day Zero Project.

Basically it is a way of accomplishing challenges a lot more fun. There’s many ones you can do, there is the “52 Things in 52 weeks”, the “30 Things in 30 days” and then there’s the one I’m doing…”101 things in 1001 days”.

I’m hoping that this is something that will help me to focus and to get my priorities straight. There’s been so many things that I haven’t achieved because I’ve been distracted and such. This way I get to track my goals each day and it’s a way to motivate myself.
